Rudolph Jars and Betty Crocker™ Thumbprint Cookies

What you need for the Rudolph Jar
(1) large mason jar
Piece of brown felt
(2) brown pipe cleaners
(1) red pom or glitter nose
(2) googley eyes)
Scissors
Hot glue
Betty Crocker printable tags

Directions
1. Using the lid of your mason jar, trace the circle onto your brown felt and cut with scissors.

2. Apply hot glue to the lid and press down the felt circle. Allow to dry.

3. Using hot glue, apply the googley eyes and the nose.

4. Fill the jar with Betty Crocker cookies and close tight.

5. Using a tiny dab of hot glue, apply the reindeer antlers to both sides of the jar. TIP: The reason I wait until the end to apply the reindeer antlers is because otherwise you have to spend 5 minutes twisting the lid correctly until they line up properly with the eyes and nose. (Take my word and apply the antlers last)

Ingredients for Thumbprint Cookies
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 container of Betty Crocker™ chocolate frosting
Sprinkles

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl add the Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix, butter, and 1 egg. Using a handheld mixer, mix on low speed for 1-2 minutes until well combined.

3. Roll cookie dough into 1.5" balls and place them on the lined baking sheet. Be careful not to make the cookies too big or they will not fit into your jar.

4. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes until just slightly light brown.

5. Remove from oven and while they are still hot use the back of a spoon and twist it slightly to make a small indentation in the middle of the cookie. This is where you will place the frosting.

6. Fill the center with a small amount of chocolate frosting and immediately press into the sprinkles. Allow to dry.

7. Fill your jar with cookies and add the printable tag to the Rudolph antler. Leave on a neighbor or friend's doorstep to spread some holiday cheer!
